Anna and Ashley Hoy Climb For A Cause
Hi friends!
As a mother-daughter duo, we have set some high goals this year. We will be adding to our adventure book by pursuing one of the greatest adventures of our lives... climbing the highest free standing mountain in the world, Mt. Kilimanjaro!
We will be making this 7-9 day hike in Tanzania, Africa to raise $$ and awareness for The Small Things, an NGO that provides financial and project support for orphaned and vulnerable children of the Nkoaranga Orphanage and surrounding community. This organization is working extremely hard to make a difference in the lives of the children and people of Nkoaranga, Tanzania, by fostering a philosophy of sustainable development.

About The Small Things:
- Mission: To provide comprehensive assistance for orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the Nkoaranga Orphanage and community. Not only in moments of crisis, but with thoughtful and sustainable solutions.
- TST achieves its mission through the operation of 4 cooperative programs:
1) Partnering with the locally run Nkoaranga Orphanage for children aged 0-5 years
2) Creating the Children's Village to house/care/educate for children aged 5+ years
3) Executing the Outreach Program, supporting families in the community, aiding in keeping families togethe
4) Implementing the No More Orphans Project, partnering with the Nkoaranga Palliative Care Team to distribute oral medicines to help prevent maternal mortality from postpartum hemorrhage.
